Cumberland Furnace is a small town located in Dickson County, Tennessee, in the United States. The town was named after the Cumberland Iron Works, which was established in 1793 and operated until the late 19th century. Today, Cumberland Furnace is a quiet rural community with a population of around 2,000 people. The town is home to several historic sites, including the old iron furnace stack, which is now part of the Cumberland Furnace State Park. The park also features hiking trails, picnic areas, and camping facilities. Cumberland Furnace is located about 40 miles west of Nashville, and is easily accessible from Interstate 40.
